What the REA Capture app collects, what happens to it, and the choices you have.

REA Capture is an app for real estate agents. You film a walkthrough of a property and describe it out loud; the app turns that into a subtitled video, a property page you can send to clients, and listing text for WhatsApp and Instagram. This policy explains what information that involves, what happens to it, and the choices you have.

We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, and the app contains no advertising or analytics tracking.

1. Who is responsible

REA Capture is operated by Binyamin Shemesh, who is the data controller for the information described here. Contact: binyamin.shemesh@gmail.com.

This policy covers the REA Capture mobile app and the property pages it creates. It does not cover the CY Real Estate website, which has its own privacy policy.

2. What we collect, and why

  • Videos you record — to add subtitles and branding and to show the video on the property page you share.
  • Audio of your narration — to transcribe what you say into subtitles and to fill in the property details (price, rooms, size, location) and listing text.
  • Photos you choose — your logo and profile photo, picked by you from your photo library, shown on your videos and property pages. The app reads only the image you select; it does not scan your library.
  • Your name and phone number — shown on the property pages you send, so clients know who you are and can call you.
  • Email address — to identify your account and contact you about it.
  • Property details and generated text — the details taken from your narration and any edits you make, so they can appear on the property page.
  • Technical logs — our servers record basic request information (such as IP address, time and the request made) to keep the service running, to keep it secure, and to fix errors.

The app asks for camera and microphone access only to record your walkthrough, and for photo library access only when you choose a logo or profile photo. It does not access your location or your contacts.

3. What is public

When you share a property, the property page — including the video, the property details, and your name, phone number, logo and photo — can be opened by anyone who has the link. Please only include in your narration what you are happy for your clients to see and hear.

4. Service providers we use

We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process data on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:

  • Fly.io — servers and database, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Cloudflare (R2) — storage of videos, audio and images.
  • ElevenLabs — speech-to-text transcription of your narration audio.
  • Anthropic — AI processing of the transcript to extract property details, write listing text and translate subtitles.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards they offer for such transfers, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Legal basis

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom or a similar jurisdiction, we process your information to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), and for security and error logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service working and safe.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your videos, photos, property pages and account details while your account is active. You can delete individual videos and photos in the app at any time. Original uploads may be removed earlier than the finished videos. When your account is closed we delete your data within 30 days, except where we must keep something by law. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Delete a video or photo from within the app.
  • Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account and all its data by emailing binyamin.shemesh@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
  • You can withdraw camera, microphone or photo access at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
  • If you are in the EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority — in Cyprus, the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.

8. Security

All connections between the app and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). Uploads go directly to storage using short-lived, signed links. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

9. Children

REA Capture is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the bottom of this page, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app or by email.
